Transit of Mercury - Live webcast
A free, live webcast from Bareket Observatory in Israel will feature the Mercury transit on May 9, 2016.
This relatively rare 'mini solar eclipse' -- meaning Venus will pass through the center of Earth's-Sun plane -- promises to be a truely unique astronomical event. There are approximately only 13 transits of Mercury each century. This should be one of the most spectacular Mercury transits in the near future!

About the event
On Monday, 2016 May 09, Mercury will transit the Sun for the first time since 2006.
We will send live images of the Mercury 2016 transit, using the Bareket observatory's powerful telescopes. One can conduct astronomical experiements using our live feed.
